Choosing and Assembling Furniture

Model selection

When selecting a piece of furniture, WE MUST TAKE INTO ACCOUNT SEVERAL ASPECTS, FIRST OF ALL THE WIDTH WE HAVE, SECONDLY THE DEPTH

Once we are clear about which furniture measurements are appropriate for our bathroom space, we can select our bathroom furniture based on a series of characteristics that we like the most.

The first big question we need to ask ourselves is whether we want a wall-hung bathroom cabinet or one with legs on the floor. Advantages of wall-hung cabinets: a more modern look, a feeling of greater spaciousness in the bathroom , ease of cleaning the bathroom and installation at a height to suit our taste.

Many times this type of furniture generates doubts or fears about whether it could fall off, but it must be said that if the wall is in good condition and it is anchored with the correct plugs, there will be no problem. In fact, these are the most commonly installed types of furniture nowadays, and we could also think that, for example, all the tall kitchen cabinets that support much more weight are suspended and no one is afraid of them.

The only thing we might be hesitant about is installing a wall-hung piece of furniture if our wall is made of plasterboard and the construction company has not installed the required metal plate behind the plasterboard panels located in the space of the bathroom furniture. In this case, we do recommend installing a piece of furniture with legs.

Advantages of furniture with legs: greater storage capacity, easier installation.

Things to keep in mind

All furniture comes with instructions inside, please read them before starting the installation. Suspended furniture is usually 90cm high, although we can always vary this height depending on our taste and the height of the users, for example if they are very tall or on the contrary if we have small children at home.

Each suspended unit supports approximately 120kg per hanger, which makes 240kg per unit. It is important that when choosing and installing the unit we take into account the drain and that it is as close as possible to the sink's siphon guard, although all our units have a free space of about 6cm between the unit and the wall to be able to conduct the plumbing installation.

Furniture with large drawers allows us better access to the things we have stored at the back, but we must take into account the height of the drawers, since in many cases it might not be enough to store tall jars upright. In these cases, they can be stored lying down or, if we do not want to lay them down, we would have to choose a model with at least one door.

All our furniture has drawers with different types of adjustment that allow the drawer front to be adjusted both horizontally and vertically for a perfect installation.

Both the Hettich drawer guides and the door hinges are soft close, which makes the drawers and doors open and close smoothly, transmitting a feeling of quality in the furniture.

All our furniture is splash-resistant, but it is not designed to be in constant contact with water as it could swell.

Terminology

The drain trap is nothing more than a horseshoe-shaped hole that the upper drawers of bathroom furniture have, to prevent them from tripping over the sink trap.

Opening hand: when we say that a door is on the left, it means that the door opens to the left and the handle is on the right. We recommend that if our module has left-hand doors, it should be placed on the left side or even in the central part. A fully extractable drawer means that the drawer comes out completely when opened, leaving all the useful part visible.
