Mini bathroom screens and small shower trays
Shower screens are prepared for all types of bathrooms, even mini or small bathrooms. If you are thinking of putting shower curtains in your mini bathroom or toilet, forget about that option as it is not considered the most hygienic, nor the best water retainer, nor the most aesthetic. Discover what the best options for screens are for small bathrooms and everything you need to know before choosing a model. First of all, you should measure the shower tray once installed, and depending on its location, we lean towards some models or others.-
- Sliding shower fronts: Most shower fronts consist of 1 sliding door and one fixed panel, which are recommended for shower trays between 3 walls and leave a minimum space of approximately 100cm. One detail to consider is to look at the passage width of a screen, that is, the entry gap that the screen generates when the door is fully opened. We recommend that the minimum space a screen should create is 40cm. It is important to consider the user's anatomy. If we have a gap of 100cm, one option for a shower front is our Benidor model with 3 sliding doors and Mojacar, with 2 doors and a fixed panel. These models are ideal as they provide the maximum entry space to the shower tray.
- Shower screens: They are trending due to their easy installation, economical price, and simplicity. This type of screen, the shower panels, we recommend should be at least 100cm to fulfill their function and avoid splashes. Therefore, if they need to measure at least 100cm and we need a passage width (entry gap to the shower tray) of at least 40cm, our tray must measure at least 140cm. This is in the case of having the shower tray between 3 walls; if we have a corner shower tray or between 2 walls, we can place a full fixed panel on the long side of the shower tray (the long side of the shower tray should be at least 100cm) and use the short or wide side of the tray as access.
What type of shower tray should I choose?
If you have a shower tray between 3 walls and want to install a fixed panel but have a gap less than 140cm, we recommend the Italy fixed shower model. This shower panel is ideal for shower fronts that have a gap between 90cm and 135cm. This model in the size of 90cm is a completely hinged door, and in the sizes of 95cm, 115cm, and 135cm, it consists of 1 door and a fixed panel. It is a new concept that allows having a fixed shower in very small spaces, as its small 35cm door can swing both inward and outward, allowing better access in narrow gaps and preventing possible splashes.
Screens for small spaces
- Hinged: Models of screens with hinged doors provide very comfortable access to the shower tray, as they leave a large entry space, but we must consider that the hinged door does not collide with any obstacles in our bathroom, such as furniture, toilet... when opening it.
- Folding: For those who have a shower tray between 3 walls and it is a very small gap, such as 70cm -75cm or 80cm, this screen option is ideal. In these very small gaps, if we also have a mini bathroom and a hinged door is not possible due to obstacles that hinder the door's opening, this option is number 1. It allows very wide access to the shower tray in very narrow gaps.
- Rectangular shower screens: This model of shower screen is suitable for shower trays in corners or between two walls. We can mainly find two types, the rectangular screens with front access or the rectangular screens with corner access. If we have a small shower tray, and also a mini bathroom, the space will be very limited, so we recommend a rectangular screen with corner access, which allows entry through the outermost vertex and provides a wider passage (entry gap to the shower).
